Dhulikhel Nagarkot Trekking 

This is a easy trek to an area north east of Kathmandu that is somewhere off the beaten trail. This is very nice trek for people who do not have much time or who want to trek on a short and easy route. the mountain views are spectacular. the maximum height elevation is about 8500 ft. or 2562m. so this is an excellent choice for the spring trek as the area is mostly covered with a dense forest. The rhododendron including dephenies and all the spring flowers will be out. bird watching is good on this trek so make sure to bring you r binoculars with you if you have one.

Dhulikhel:

At an elevation of 1,44o m (4,708 ft.), thirds town and resort area lies 32- Kilometers east of Kathmandu on the Highway towards Tibet. It is a small town with five-hundred year-old history. Street are lined with brick houses featuring carved wooden windows; sloping tiles of Pagoda temples and sacred statues abound. Nature has blessed terraced hillsides with clear views of more then twenty Himalayan peaks on clear days. There are fine hotels where one can stay.

Nagarkot: 

Only a short 30 Kilometer drive east of the Kathmandu Valley at an elevation of 2175 meters (7112 feet), Nagarkot provides a grandstand panorama of the Himalayas. The snowy peaks are magnificent at the sunrise and the sunset. Often visible are the Everest(8848 meters, 29,028 ft.) Lhotse (8576 meters, 28,135 ft.), Cho-Oyo (8463 meters, 27,674 ft.), and Manaslu (8163 meters, 26,693 ft.), five of the world’s tallest mountains.
Nagarkot also offers good bird watching in the forest and short hikes in a peaceful hilltop resort setting. Only the wind and the sound of rustling leaves is heard at this favorite weekend getaway for those seeking Himalayan scenery and serenity at any one of several nice hotels.

Nagarkot to Dhulikhel Day Hiking is probably one of the most exciting best day hiking in Kathmandu. The best hiking trail in the Kathmandu valley is filled with exotic forest and offers glamorous views of the Himalayas and traditional hamlets. Nagarkot is rather famous as a viewpoint to view the stunning views of sunrise and sunset. Towering at an elevation of 2195 meters, it is one of the most loved travel sites of Bhaktapur. Nagarkot offers superb views of Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Everest range, and Number range.

The scenic view of beautiful mountains, hills filled with green vegetation, open landscapes, etc makes it a most admirable tourist destination. The different vantage point of Dhulikhel offers a breathtaking view of the Himalayas including Mt. Annapurna (8091 m), Mt. Ganesh Himal (7429 m), Mt. Langtang (7234 m), Mt. Phuribichyachu (6637 m), Mt. Gaurishanker (7134 m), Mt. Lhotse (8516 m) and many others. Nagarkot hiking is suitable for children as well.
