Day 01: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri
The drive to Nayapul is around two hours. After this short drive, we pack up the bags for porters and start our trip. We walk through the lush, green Modi river valley, past waterfalls with plunge pools that invite you to swim.  The ascend of the steep staircase to Magar village of Ulleri (2,070m) a tough one for the first day but you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the valley below and the peaks of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 02: Trek to Ghorepani
The trek today is a gentle climb through pasture and cultivated fields. After Banthati the trail then continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons forest to Ghorepani (2,840m). Overnight at Lodge.

Day 03: Poon Hill Visit and Trek to Tadapani
Today, very early in the morning, we start an hour hiking to Poon Hill at elevation of 3200 meters. Poon Hill is a famous view point and provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas. After spending an hour at the view point we return to Ghorepani where we take a hot breakfast and then we trek to Tadapani (2,610m). The trail ascends up to Deurali pass and descends steeply through dense moss-covered forest rich with birdlife to Tadapani. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 04: Trek to Chhomrong
The day starts with steep downhill through rhododendron forests. Leaving Tadapani, we descend steeply through forests and then the trail eases as we reach Gurjung which is the village of Gurung people, with an easy walk to Chommrong at elevation of 2,140m. Overnight at Lodge.
Towering above the village is the mighty peak of Annapurna South, with the Fishtail facing it across the valley.

Day 05: Trek to Bamboo / Himalaya Hotel
We walk through the forest to Kuldi Ghar, before the route goes steeply down a bank of rock and then levels out, running through riverside bamboo thickets along the base of the gorge. Because there are no villages in this valley, the forests are untouched and we have a very pleasant walk through oak, rhododendron forest as we climb and then descend to a place called Bamboo (2,335m).Then the track winds steeply up through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to Himalaya Hotel (2,680m) Overnight at Lodge.

Day 06: Trek to Fishtail Base Camp (Machhapuchhere Base Camp)
Our day begins with the climb through bamboo, then rhododendron forests to Hinko cave.
The track remains on the west bank of the Modi, now flowing through a more open valley, and eventually emerges into the Sanctuary. Straight ahead is the high lateral moraine of the South Annapurna glacier and the Modi follows a deep cliff to the right. This is the site of Machhapuchhre base camp (3,480m). Overnight at Lodge.

Day 07: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp Back to Bamboo
Annapurna Base Camp is totally surrounded by mountains and this area is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary. Two hours trek from Machhapuchhare Base Camp brings us to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at elevation of 4,130m. There, you will view unobstructed views of mountain scenery, which is very spectacular. Since we arrive at the base camp early, we spend our time visiting to the glaciers and taking the trip further to the base of the mountains. Overnight at Lodge. In Bamboo.

Day 08: Trek to Hot Spring

We follow the same trail until Chommrong. From Chomrong the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinuwa hot spring, where you can bathe in natural hot springs. Overnight at Lodge.
From Annapurna Base Camp we follow the same trail down today. It is around 7 hours easy walk back to Hot Spring. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 09: Trek to Potana
We follow the same trail until Chommrong. From Chomrong the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinuwa hot spring, where you can bathe in natural hot springs. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 10: Trek to Phedi and drive to Pokhara
We make a three hour trek downhill to Phedi where our vehicle awaits us to transfer us to Pokhara. Afternoon is free to explore the town. Overnight at Hotel.

Itinerary details

Day 1 – Drive to Naya Pul and start trek to Hile, overnight at guesthouse

From Pokhara, we drive to Naya Pul and from Birethanti, we go up on the track to Ghandruk where we enjoy the stunning views of the enormous mountains. We go on along a range of small communities like Chimrong, Chane, Syauli Bazaar. After crossing the suspension bridge above Khumnu Khola, we will arrive at Ghandruk, a settlement where we can see stone houses inhabited by the Gurung people. Remarkably close towering views of Annapurna South, Fishtail and Himchuli peaks will enthrall us. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 2 – Trek to Ghorepani, overnight at guesthouse

Today, we move further on from Ulleri to reach Ghorepani, one of the renowned spots of Annapurna region located at an elevation of 2856 meters. Our trek easily moves up to Banthanti (2250 m.) going across oak, rhododendron forest. We after that go on trekking to Ghorepani through Nangeythanti (2460 m.). Today we trek just about 5hours. Tonight at guest house in Ghorepani.

Day 3 – Climb to Poon Hill View point Trek to Tadapani

Early morning today we march to Poonhill (3195m.). Here, you can take pleasure in the striking mountain views and eye-catching sunrise view. After an hour, we descend to Poonhill and have then constantly trek to Tadapani taking around 6 hours. Tadapani exactly refer to ‘Far water’ which means water is provided in this village from far away. The track ascends all along ridges and all the way through pine and rhododendron woods to Deurali. We move down to reach Banthanti, walk further on the twisting way to Tadapani. Overnight at trekkers lodge.

Day 4 – Trek to Sinuwa Hill, overnight at guesthouse

Moving down from Tadapani the path bestows good sights of the Modi valley. The trail then begins the long way up above the west shore of the Modi Khola. We get ahead of the village of Chhomrong which is located at the base of Himal Chuli. From Chhomrong the way moves down until Chhomrong Khola then we have a slow climb and reach Sinuwa Hill.

Day 5 – Trek to Hotel Himalaya, overnight at guesthouse

After move down from Chomrong then we have a challenging ascend to Sinuwa we keep on trekking up through the forests going across the small settlement of Bamboo and Doban till we ultimately reach Himalayan Hotel.

Day 6 – Trek to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, overnight at guesthouse

We start from Machhapuchhre Base Camp and we make a temperate climb through a river to abruptly above the mountain side. Walking from Deurali, we will arrive at a point where we will be encircled by huge snow-covered peaks. Moving ahead to Machhapuchhre Base Camp we reach at a set where the views of Mt. Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Himchuli, Annapurna III and, definitely, the Machhapuchhre itself enthralls us. Overnight in Machhapuchhre Base Camp at guesthouse.

Day 7 – Trek to Annapurna Base Camp, overnight at guesthouse

From Machhapuchhre base camp (3900m.), we continue to Annapurna base camp. The area is encircled by the peaks and is recognized as Annapurna Sanctuary. This set gives you an impressive view of huge peaks including Annapurna I, Barah Shikhar, Annapurna South and many other giant peaks. We today walk for around 2 to 3 hours.

Day 8 – With the memory of massive Annapurna I and ranges, trek back to Dovan, overnight at guesthouse

We move early morning and witness the wonderful sunrise over the peaks from Annapurna Base Camp. Then, we move down from Annapurna Base Camp via Deurali, Dovan and eventually reach Bamboo. We gradually, walk down to reach the valley where we again see the waterfalls that pours down from a high above. Tonight, we stay in Bamboo at guesthouse.

Day 9 – Trek to Chhomrong, overnight at guesthouse

Leaving Dovan we have a vertical way up to the Kuldi Ghar then Sinuwa, following the stone steps that take us to Lower Chhomrong. After that, we ascend on the stony steps that lead us to Upper Chhomrong. From Chhomrong, we walk down to Jhinu Danda. Here, we will take bath at natural warm water spring. Overnight at guest house in Jhinu Dada.

Day 10 – Trek to Ghandrung (the biggest Gurung village in Nepal, village of Gurkha Warriors), overnight at guesthouse

Today, we move down again to the next river and after going across the suspension bridge we have to go up for about another one and half hour before we get to the most stunning village in the Annapurna region entitled Ghandrung (1950m.), a large prosperous Gurung village.

Day 11 – Trek to Naya Pul and drive back to Pokhara, overnight at hotel

We leave Ghandrung and move towards New Bridge and proceed to Kyumi village. We arrive at Syauli bazaar and then go up to Birethanti. Walking further for around an hour from Birethanti we will reach Naya Pul. From Naya Pul, we retrace our steps back taking a locally available vehicle and arrive at Pokhara. Then after, we take a flight with same picturesque view and reach Kathmandu from Pokhara. After you reach Kathmandu, optionally, we can relax or walk to visit different sights of Kathmandu. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner together. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

10 DAYS ABC TREK (ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP TREK)

Alternative route:
There are many flights to Pokhara from Kathmandu every day. You may choose to take a flight to get there. It takes 30 minutes from Kathmandu. It is the more convenient way to get to Pokhara.

Day 05: Trek from Sinuwa to Deurali (3200 m, 5 hours walking) and then overnight at Lodge.

Day 06: Trek from Deurali to ABC (4130m, 4/5 hours walking) and then overnight at Lodge.

Day 07: Trek from ABC to Bamboo (2340 m, 6/7 hours walking ) and then trek back down to (3200m, 3 hours driving) then overnight at Lodge.

Day 08: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1690 m, 7hours walking) stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 09: Trek from Jhinu Danda to Ghandrung Via Jhinu Hot Spring (6 hours walking) Explore around Ghandruk Gurung village at evening then stay overnight at Lodge.

Day 10: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul (4 hours walking) and drive by local bus/ taxi (2 hours driving) to Pokhara then overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.
